A word from the Pastor
Be very careful, then, how you live- not as unwise but as wise, …understand what the Lord's will is. Ephesians 5:15+17
At the beginning of this New Year do you wonder how we’ll do this year? Looking back do you rejoice, or do you have regrets? Do you look at the future with anticipation, or with dread?
One aspect of Wisdom of life is certainly to be aware that our time on this earth is limited.
Knowing that, I think it is of utmost importance to know what God’s will is for you in this New Year. Do you think He wants your mind so saturated with worries & anxieties? Do you think He wants your calendar so crowded that you don’t have time for the important things? What do you think God’s will is for you, this year?
If it is your relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, if you have your family on the priority list, then you need to say, "This will affect my decisions, my scheduling, my relationships with others, and my whole outlook on life."
So, let nothing interfere with your worship of God, and the time you spend in his word and in prayer. You also need to spend time with your family, don’t miss the precious moments with your spouse and children. For, these moments, quickly pass and fly away. As Christians we ought to be good workers too. We have the responsibility to the Lord to honor Him even in our working place.
Many things are to be considered and decided on.
A new year stretches before us.
So, in order to experience a Happy and Blessed New Year, I wish all of you the strength of our Lord (2.Cor.12:9) and HIS presence every day, because without HIM we can do nothing. (John 15:5)
Your Pastor, Ludwig Duncker.
