A word from the Pastor
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6
Zerubbabel, governor of Jerusalem, was faced with what seemed to be an impossible task. God had spoken to his heart and told him to rebuild the temple. But soon opposition came, people got discouraged and where afraid.
When God puts something in our heart we can be certain that the enemy will not wait to try to frighten, discourage and distract us.
We are also involved in following the Lord, being active for God and serving the church today, but often we realize our own weaknesses and limits, maybe we are even afraid and discouraged in certain situations.
Celebrating Pentecost this month, should not only remind us of the work of the Spirit in general. He is still the same today and the promise of the Lord is the same for us: “For God hath not given us the Spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2.Tim.1,7)
So whatever we have to face, we can rely on the strength and power of the Spirit of the Lord, to accomplish what He puts on our hearts for His Kingdom.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Ludwig Duncker
